Cabin Collectibles was located in Gunnison, Colorado, right on Main Street. My mother and I opened this location in May 2002. My mother
originally opened a store in South Fork, Colorado in 1999 as an outlet store for
a log furniture manufacturer. As time went on she added a much
broader selection of merchandise, and in 2002 added a whole other
location in Gunnison, with me as store manager. We increased our product line to
include more unique gifts and took pride in carring lots
of Colorado made products both large and small. We moved our Gunnison store to a bigger building in January of 2005. With almost 3 times the space it was quite a treat to fill up with wonderful products to decorate anyone's cabin, cottage, farm house, or log home. We expanded again in the summer of 2006, adding a showroom specifically for furniture and lighting. We incorporated the Gunnison "brick and morter" stores and brought in Tim as a partner to manage the new showroom. Time went along and relationships changed. In November of 2008 my mother and I decided it was time to leave the Gunnison business. I still have my website where I specialize in Earth Rugs by Capitol Importing (my favorite line), and Mom still has her great little cabin in South Fork. Speaking of South Fork, you'll definately want to stop in and check in on her if you are in her neck of the woods. At the "Y" in South Fork is a little 1890's cabin. It's called "The Cabin, Wilderness Home Accents." Look to the south as you are driving HWY 160, you can't miss the large carved bear and beautiful outdoor fountain right across from the interection with HWY 149.
